The purpose of the cross is to inspire positively the thousands of drivers who pass by each day. Dr. John D. Morgan, Sagemont's senior pastor, says "We hope everyone who drives by will be reminded how much God loves them."

The cross is set on a platform over a reflection pond. The bank of the pond features a 250-seat amphitheater and a baptismal site. A dedication service for the new structure was held on March 1. To learn more about this project, you can go to www.sagemontchurch.org.
